Katie Daughenbaugh, PhD
Meet the Team
With over 15 years of experience as a research scientist, Katie Daughenbaugh has established herself as an accomplished professional. Katie is an effective facilitator who values all viewpoints, respects all sides, and supports groups through difficult decision-making processes. Katie holds a Bachelor of Science in biochemistry with a minor in Spanish. She graduated summa cum laude from Montana State University and later completed her PhD in molecular virology. Her scientific thought and reasoning skills equip her to help others navigate their healthcare challenges.
Katie served on the Board of Bozeman Health, the largest healthcare organization in southwest Montana, for ten years, including three as board chair. She played an instrumental role in modernizing the organization's governance structure and process during her tenure. Her guidance was particularly valuable when the board had to make decisions related to expanding essential healthcare services in a fiscally responsible manner. Her excellent communication skills and thoughtfulness helped her successfully govern healthcare delivery during the COVID-19 pandemic.
When she's not working, Katie enjoys outdoor activities with her family, including hiking, backpacking, and cross-country skiing. They often bring their two Labradoodles along for the adventure.
