Larry Platt is a businessman and lawyer specializing in health system governance, strategic planning, executive succession planning, and philanthropic fundraising. He was the President and CEO of Cal-Marble Furniture Manufacturing Corp. from 1997 to 2011 and is currently the managing partner of the Platt Development Co., a real estate investment partnership, and an X-CO senior partner with Strategy Advantage, a health consulting firm.

Larry has been a Board member at Cedars-Sinai since 2000, where he served as the Board Chair from 2011 to 2014. He is currently the Chair of the Cedars-Sinai Health System Board of Directors and a member of the Cedars-Sinai Medical Group Board of Directors. He has led enterprise-wide strategic transformation at Cedars-Sinai as Co-Chair of the Strategic Planning Committee. He also serves on several Board committees, including the Executive Compensation Committee.

Larry launched one of Cedars-Sinai's most ambitious fundraising initiatives, raising $357 million for the Medical Center's research endowment as Chairman for Cedars-Sinai's Discovering for Life Campaign in 2008.

Apart from his work at Cedars-Sinai, Larry serves on the Board of Directors of the American Jewish University and is Chair of the UCLA Fielding School of Public Health Advisory Board.

Larry received his bachelor’s and JD degrees from USC and is a member of several scholastic societies, including Phi Beta Kappa.
